The much awaited Global IP Convention 2011 has been inaugurated by Shri R C Gowda, Deputy Chairman, State Planning Board, Govt of Karnataka. Over 200 participants including overseas speakers and delegates were present at the inauguration ceremony.

Dignified guests and speakers like Mr. Narendra K. Sabharwal, Former Deputy Director General, WIPO, Mr. Richard Liu, Regional IP Director, Asia Pacific, Yahoo! Dr. N. L. Mitra, Senior Partner, Foxmandal Little, Mr. V Lakshmi Kumaran, Founder and Managing Partner, Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, Mr. Benjamin C. Adams, Director - Legal and Intellectual Property, Nokia, Mr Pravin Anand, Managing Partner, Anand and Anand, Shri P. H. Kurian, Controller General of Patents, Trademarks and Designs, Govt of India and many more personalities were present at this occassion and delivered their knowledgeful presentations, but centerstage was taken by USPTO Commissioner of Patents, Mr. Robert Stoll.
